Based in Marseille, D.D.A Contemporary Art l Diffusing Durable Art, is a production and curatorial structure, supporting the creation and authors: artists and curators, in the field of contemporary art.
This field of experimentation is made up of sediments laden with memories of encounters, the work of writing and collective thoughts, around and with artists and researchers, which are deposited in strata. Each level, these imaginary planes which, accumulated, superimposed, compacted and cemented together, form a solid, durable ground.
Mobility and curiosity about non-dedicated art spaces have led us to set up residencies and exchanges, both within the region and internationally, encouraging meetings, the discovery of unique places and the crossing of diverse landscapes. Links have been forged with Japan, and with other countries and cultures (Quebec, Morocco, Colombia, etc.).
Diversity, equity and inclusion drive our programming choices. Our focus on the living world offers areas for exploration that also guide our collaborations, and have naturally initiated educational and artistic workshops with social partners.
Associated with the Ateliers Jeanne Barret – Marseille (15th arrondissement) since its foundation, we regularly offer programming sessions.
